These past few months have tested us physically, spiritually, intellectually, and financially. Everyone has been affected, some more deeply than others. We have all suffered together, and we trust that in the next few weeks you will see the glimmer of the promised end.
As a League, we are committed to meeting the challenges of our current world while persevering to accomplish our purpose of “Engaging Voters and Defending Democracy.” Consequently, we are learning and using new methods of communication to interact with members and our community.
Our Annual Meeting scheduled for June 13 has been impacted by restrictions during this pandemic. Attached is our Annual Meeting Workbook. It will not be printed nor mailed this year since the print shop is closed. The Workbook is attached to this email and can also be downloaded on our website under Resources. Because the workbook is packed with information, there will be no May newsletter, The Voter.
Our bylaws state we must hold our meeting in June, and normally we meet for a luncheon, speaker, and business meeting. This year will be the same but different, you won’t even have to leave your home to meet! We will hold a virtual online meeting on June 13 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
In the next few weeks, members will be receiving several informational emails how to participate in our online meeting. There will be a test date and link to preview your access. On the meeting day we will open the link at 12:30 so you be satisfied your login is working. The meeting will begin promptly at 1 and cover the normal agenda. We anticipate also having a guest speaker.
If you have any questions, please contact either Co-President or any Board member.
